Pretty Pear's Colleen Featured in NPR Segment
NPR's Morning Edition covered the topic of products for fat people, and Colleen from The Pretty Pear was one of the guests! You can listen to it here.
Of note: LivingXL is owned by Casual Male, and Bill Fabrey of Amplestuff notes that the market is mostly untapped. A great listen without any anti-fat judgment, and Colleen represented the anti-diet crowd nicely. Woo!

I want the world to know that I must've ranted and raved to poor Allison for at least 20 minutes. She summarized my thoughts very well, though. She was very open and nonjudgmental, and genuinely interested in what I had to say. I hope even more news outlets do pieces like this, even just so listeners are aware that there are fat people who haven't resigned themselves to a life of self hatred and misery.
Everyone should know before they congratulate NPR that they first aired a story on the same subject in the area "Diversions" that ridiculed fat people. It's great they kind of came around, but I still regularly hear them promote diets and make value-laden assumptions about fat.
