MizB
An Autobiography
Born and raised in NYC; 50+ woman, fat since puberty. My very mixed background (white Jewish mother, black / Protestant father) inspired me to take a broad view of the world, and have a strong belief in equality and social inclusion for all. For much of my life a devoted activist (less so in recent years).
I'm a writer (p.r. and business communication) and an ordained Interfaith Minister of Spiritual Counseling, disabled and semi-retired, but hopeful that things will improve. I'm also an unrepentant cigarette smoker and believe that the meanness and zero-tolerance of the anti-smoking movement has paved the way for society's acceptance of legislation that imposes on personal rights in many areas in the name of doing what's good for us and protecting us -- and, therefore, provides a lot of energy for the anti-fat movement and obesity hysteria.
