Just an amply-figured young lady, settling for the labels 'liberal' and 'bisexual,' who's living in the Midwest (her given home) and wishing she were back in New England (her adopted home). The recent move was spurred mostly by the first exacerbation of what she would later learn is multiple sclerosis. ("Ruth: Making MS FUN!!!") She endures being sick - and the hell of living with her family again - with the help of her Boston-native lady friend and soulmate of six years to whom she's monogamously engaged. (And who is also amply-figured, liberal, and bisexual.) A loyal troop of six crazy cats accompany the pair wherever they go, which is usually just to the bathtub or to bed - but they're good minions anyway, and get plenty of treats for their troubles.
