Anariel
An Autobiography
I am a writer, a cat lover, and a compulsive bookworm. Once in awhile, I've been known to dig out my sketchbook and drawing pencils, but although I'm getting better lately, my efforts have largely been very much unlike what I see in my mind. I am also a musician, having played the violin for sixteen years, sung in various choirs for twelve years and played the bagpipes for nine years. I got into the Fat Acceptance movement in late 2005, shortly after I started questioning the conventional thought that one must be thin in order to qualify as a human being who deserves respect and dignity. Although I'm not very vocal, I do try to be "subversive", so to speak, when confronted with diet talk, and I don't let anyone get away with using the word "fat" as an insult in my hearing.
